The only club who would book the band in Boston, at first, on a regular basis was called All Asia. We played there at least 6 times in the span on 2 months. AA was basically a Chinese restaurant with the barest additions required to host live shows. The nights were often double or even triple booked by the owner/booker. She, the owner/booker began to give out our house telephone number (The Stairs manager was my roommate at the time) to other bands as if we had suddenly become the de facto bookers of All Asia. It was confusing and nutty.

This is a picture of me at the end of an All Asia night. That expression on my face is half satisfied, half “what the fuck are we doing here?”
